Pune, Nov. 17 -- The Department of Geriatric Medicine, AFMC Pune has successfully hosted GERICON 2025, the 22nd annual conference of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics, at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), here from November 13-15.
The three-day national conference brought together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and allied health professionals from across India and abroad to advance the cause of age-friendly healthcare in the country, said a Defence release today.
The theme for the year - "Collaborative Care in Geriatrics: Advancing Towards an Age-Friendly Healthcare System" - underscored the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork to enhance health outcomes, functional independence, and quality of life for older adults.
