Kabul, Oct. 18 -- The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) today announced its decision to withdraw from the upcoming Tri-Nation T20I Series in Pakistan, citing the recent tragic attack on cricketers from Urgun District in Paktika Province.

Afghanistan was scheduled to travel to Pakistan from November 17 to compete in a tri-series involving the hosts and Sri Lanka. However, following Friday evening's deadly attack in which domestic players Kabeer, Sibghatullah, Haroon, and five others from Urgun District were killed, and seven others injured while participating in a friendly match in Sharana, the ACB decided to postpone the tour.
