Kabul, May 25 -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has initiated 175 vital development projects, valued at over £2.7 million (3.4 million US dollars), in the eastern province of Parwan.

The comprehensive programme, detailed in a ministry statement late on Saturday, aims to significantly improve local infrastructure and create much-needed employment opportunities.

The projects, slated for implementation across Parwan's Salang and Shinwari districts, encompass a range of crucial undertakings, including the construction of bridges, culverts, protective walls, irrigation canals, and rural roads.
