New York, Nov. 23 -- Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed a piece of career guidance he received years ago from filmmaker Richard Curtis, advice he still applies across his creative venture today.
Speaking at The Wall Street Journal's CMO Summit in New York earlier this week, the 49-year-old actor recalled Curtis telling him years ago that every character must move through a clear beginning, middle and end.
Reynolds said the seemingly simple observation stayed with him, becoming a principle he now applies even in the highly compressed world of brand campaigns for Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and other ventures, reports PEOPLE.
"I sort of brought that even into that space with, 'How do you do that in 30 seconds or 15 seconds as well?' "...
