Ranchi, April 8 -- Jharkhand BJP president and MP Aditya Sahu on Wednesday criticised the Congress over an alleged remark attributed to party president Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing it of using divisive politics for electoral gains.

Sahu said the Congress had a history of engaging in appeasement and confrontational politics and alleged that such language was harmful to democratic discourse.

Referring to Kharge's reported remarks against the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he alleged that the Congress was attempting to create political and social polarisation.
