Lucknow, Feb. 20 -- To ensure seamless travel for devotees during the last phase of Maha Kumbh, the Uttar Pradesh government has arranged 1,200 additional rural buses, allocated strategically across different areas for better crowd management.
The decision has been taken in the wake of the high influx of pilgrims. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), Daya Shankar Singh said that these 1,200 buses have been reserved specifically for Maha Shivratri bathing from February 20 to 28, to prevent any inconvenience to visitors.
He said, "750 shuttle buses are already operational in the Sangam area."
