New Delhi, Jan. 12 -- Tamil film star and politician Vijay was on Monday questioned for about seven hours by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Karur stampede case.

As of now the CBI has not released any official statement in connection with his questioning.

Vijay arrived at the CBI headquarters at 11:30 am and proceeded inside without speaking to the media. During questioning, investigators focused on delays and crowd management lapses linked to the stampede at a public rally in Karur organised by his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on September 27 last year that left 41 persons dead and around 100 others injured.
