Kochi, Dec. 30 -- Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's mother Shanthakumari passed away on Tuesday at her residence in Elamakkara in Kerala.
She was 90 and had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues, including complications following a stroke she suffered in recent years.
Shanthakumari was the wife of late Viswanathan Nair, and mother of Mohanlal and his late elder brother, Pyarilal, who passed away in 2000. Her funeral rites are scheduled for Wednesday.
