Chitradurga, Dec. 10 -- In a disturbing development, the samadhi of Renukaswamy, the fan who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by Kannada actor Darshan and his associates, has been found vandalised at the Jogimatti burial ground in Chitradurga city.
The incident came to light on Wednesday after locals noticed that the granite nameplate bearing Renukaswamy's name and his birth and death dates had been broken.
Portions of the memorial structure itself also appeared damaged. Authorities said it remains unclear when the damage occurred. Family members said they were unaware of the vandalism until informed by others.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that the damage may have occurred during the development of a new layout in the vicinity.
