Mumbai, Jan. 15 -- The presence of Bollywood stars at polling booths generated enthusiasam among common folk during the BMC elections. However, there was a change of script for actor Akshay Kumar.

An emotional moment unfolded at the polling station where he cast his vote, when a young girl approached him seeking help as her father was burdened with debts.

Security personnel attempted to stop her, but Kumar signalled them to take it easy and asked her to share her contact number. The girl later tried to touch the actor's feet, but he stopped her.

Akshay Kumar voted early soon after polling began at the Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan polling station in the western suburbs. Speaking to the media, Kumar described the day as one "when power rests in ...
