Mumbai, July 30 -- Social activist Anjali Damania today strongly criticized Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for not taking action against Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate, who was recently caught on video playing rummy on his mobile phone during a legislative session.

Damania questioned the justification behind Ajit Pawar's reported stance that "action will be taken against our ministers only if action is taken against ministers from the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena."

She expressed disappointment that Ajit Pawar failed to take a firm stand despite earlier indications and reports suggesting he had reprimanded Kokate for the incident.
