Pune, April 8 -- Rahul Dambale, president of the city-based National Conference for Minorities, has condemned alleged attempts to disrupt social harmony in Pune, particularly in the Purandar and Kondhwa areas, under the guise of political events.

The criticism comes in the wake of the 'Hindu Janakrosh Morcha' held on Wednesday where allegedly provocative and inflammatory language was used.

In a statement, he said political parties, especially the BJP, must refrain from creating religious discord for electoral gains, as such actions could damage Pune's secular reputation and social fabric.
