Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 21 -- It has been alleged that no action has yet been taken against M K Vinod Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Prisons, who is accused of accepting bribes from jail inmates and their relatives.
Though the Vigilance Director has reported to the Home Department that Vinod Kumar received bribes from jail inmates to facilitate paroles and provide additional facilities within the jail, the government has not taken any action against him. It has been alleged that the government is delaying action against the DIG despite the Vigilance wing's recommendation.
