Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- Acharya Devvrat, who has been serving as the Governor of Gujarat, was sworn in as the Governor of Maharashtra on Monday, reading out his oath in Sanskrit.
The President of India has given additional charge of Governor of Maharashtra to Acharya Devvrat through an order.
The President's Press Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh issued an official order on September 11 that the appointment has been made to perform the functions of the Governor of Maharashtra, in addition to Governor Devvrat's present responsibility as Governor of Gujarat.
