Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- Acharya Devvrat took oath as the Governor of Maharashtra today following C.P. Radhakrishnan took oath as Vice President on September 12, 2025.

The President had given the additional charge of Maharashtra Governor to Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, who formally assumed office today.

Born on January 18, 1959, Governor Devvrat holds graduation and post-graduation degrees in History and Hindi, a B.Ed. degree, a Diploma in Yoga Shastra, and a doctorate in Naturopathy and Yogic Science.
