Nizamabad (Telangana), March 14 -- An accused arrested in Cyber slavery case died of a massive heart attack at Government General Hospital here on Thursday night.

Nizamabad Commissioner of Police P Sai Chaitanya said that a case was registered against Alakunta Sampath for enticing unemployed rural youth from Telangana and trafficking them to Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, where they were forced into cyber slavery.

Sampath was booked under Crime No. 10/2025 at the Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS), Nizamabad, under various sections of the BNS, IT Act, and Emigration Act.

Following his arrest, Sampath was remanded to judicial custody and later sent to police custody on March 12, for further investigation.
