Hyderabad, April 30 -- Telangana Minister for Information, Public Relations, Revenue and Housing Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has reaffirmed the government's commitment to granting accreditation to every eligible journalist in the state, along with extending healthcare and other welfare benefits.

Distributing new accreditation cards at a programme organised by the Information Department on Thursday, the Minister said the process was delayed due to a comprehensive review aimed at adopting best practices from across the country.

He noted that while the previous government had the scope to grant accreditation to 32,500 individuals, it limited the number to 23,352, whereas the present government has expanded coverage to over 46,000. So far, arou...
