Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 22 -- Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ranjit Ray and celebrated Punjabi director Gurvinder Singh will chair the juries of the 17th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK).

Ray will lead the non-fiction jury, while Singh will head the fiction jury.

A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, Ray began his career in television before moving into documentary cinema. A two-time National Film Award winner, he had earlier served on the jury of the 65th National Film Awards.

His acclaimed documentary Putulnamer Itikatha (Dolls Don't Lie) has won awards at the Kolkata International Film Festival and IDSFFK and has been screened internationally.
