Shimla, Sept. 9 -- Deputy Commissioner of Shimla Anupam Kashyap has directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to prepare a detailed list of accident-prone areas in all sub-divisions of the district, considering the rising number of road accidents following the recent monsoon devastation.
He said that necessary financial provisions would be made for the improvement of such vulnerable stretches.
Presiding over the District Road Safety Committee meeting here today, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for the Police Department to furnish subdivision-wise data on road accidents, enabling targeted corrective measures.
