Kannur, Dec. 16 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and MLA, Sunny Joseph, today said that the ruling CPI(M) should be prepared to lay down its arms and recognize that the verdict in the local body elections reflects public anger against the government, corruption and violent politics of the CPI(M).
Sunny Joseph described the violence allegedly unleashed by the CPI(M) following its defeat in local body elections as 'condemnable' and said the CPI(M) is challenging the rule of law by vandalising statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Indhira Gandhi in Kannur and by unleashing violence against rival political workers.
