ACCC sues Google over 'anti-competitive' search deals with telecom giants: Reports
New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has sued Google over the "anti-competitive" search deals with Telstra and Optus, as per reports.
The ACCC is an independent government body responsible for ensuring fair competition and protecting consumers in Australia. This institution enforces Australian consumer protection laws and promotes fair trading and competition.
Reportedly, the consumer watchdog has started the federal court proceedings against Google Asia Pacific. Moreover, the tech giant also admitted the liability.
