Hyderabad, July 16 -- In a surprise operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the Road Transport Authority (RTA) checkpoint at Pondurthi in Bhiknoor mandal of Kamareddy district on Tuesday and unearthed a suspected network of illegal cash collection and unauthorised staffing.

During the raid, the ACB team recovered an unaccounted amount of Rs 16,000 from Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) Sam Richardson, and Rs 9,000 from a private agent, G. Shiva Kumar. Another Rs 4,000 was found hidden inside an office file folder.

Additionally, Rs 23,000 in unaccounted cash was recovered at the checkpoint itself, bringing the total seized amount to Rs 52,000.
