ACB officials nab two for accepting bribe of Rs 25,000

Kolhapur, Nov. 7 -- Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested a Talathi and Kotwal of Saja-Shahapur village in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district for accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant for registering new names in 7/12 certificate.

Arrested persons identified as Ganesh Vishnupant Sonvane (32), Talathi and Netaji Keshav Patil(45), Kotwal, both working at Saja-Shahapur in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district.

According to a press release, the complainant had applied for registered new name on his father's land 7/12 certificate.

He met Talathi, Sonvane, who demanded Rs 25,000 and told him to give Rs 10,000 from this amount to Kotwal, Patil.
