Hazaribagh, Oct. 10 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a government employee red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in Daru block of Hazaribagh district.
The arrested official has been identified as Gyani Ram, who was posted at the Daru Block Office.
According to official sources, the employee had allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 from a complainant in exchange for processing official work.
Acting on the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap operation and caught the accused on the spot while he was accepting the bribe amount.
