Srinagar, April 21 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu and Kashmir has filed a charge sheet against a former Assistant Executive Engineer in a bribery case linked to bill clearance.
The chargesheet was presented before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Baramulla, against Mubarak Ahmad Ganai, then AEE in the PWD (R&B) Division Sopore, for allegedly demanding and accepting illegal gratification from a contractor.
According to ACB, the case stems from a complaint alleging that the accused sought a two percent bribe for processing a bill worth Rs 28.27 lakh related to construction works at Government Degree College Sopore.
