Kamareddy (Telangana), May 14 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted a surprise check at Bichkunda Police Station in Kamareddy district, following allegations of corruption related to the release of vehicles detained in sand smuggling cases.
During the inspection, ACB officials found 10 tractors with sand-loaded trolleys parked within the police station premises. Upon verification, it was revealed that the vehicles had been detained for several days without any valid justification.
The ACB also uncovered several irregularities in the handling of these cases, raising concerns about procedural lapses and potential misuse of authority.
