Hyderabad, May 24 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana conducted a series of successful operations on Friday, catching four government officials red-handed in three separate bribery cases across the state, the ACB said in a statement on Saturday.

In the first case, the ACB officials caught B Vittal Rao, Assistant City Planner at the Zonal Office, Secunderabad Zone, GHMC, for demanding a bribe of Rs 8 lakhs from a complainant in exchange for processing two occupancy certificate applications for apartment buildings.

The accused had already accepted Rs 4 lakhs earlier and was caught while seeking the remaining Rs 4 lakhs.
