Srinagar, April 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau on Thursday trapped and arrested a Girdawar, and Lumberdar red-handed in Srinagar while demanding and allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

ACB said they received a written complaint alleging therein that Ayaz Ahmad Hurra, Girdawar, Chatabal, Srinagar, who is holding additional charge of Patwari Halqa Habakadal and Halqa Shivpora was demanding Rs 50,000 as bribe instead of issuance of revenue extracts required for the sale deed of an old house located at Mandir Bagh, Srinagar.

As per the complaint, the complainant was forced to pay Rs 30,000 a few days ago, and the remaining Rs 20,000 was asked to be paid today to receive the requisite documents.
