Ranchi, Jan. 14 -- Jharkhand BJP state president and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi on Tuesday strongly criticised the functioning of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), alleging that instead of conducting a fair investigation into the alleged liquor scam, the agency is operating like a recovery agent.
Marandi said that in the name of probing the liquor scam in Jharkhand, a sccam within a scam is unfolding. He alleged that the real purpose behind arrests made by the ACB is not to bring the guilty to justice, but to instil fear among the accused and fix rates for settlements.
