Kasaragod, Aug. 14 -- A clash broke out between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Students' Federation of India (SFI) members at the Government College, Vidyanagar, Kasaragod, today over the observance of "Partition Horror Day" on campus.
ABVP, the student wing of the BJP, organised the event on the eve of Independence Day and pasted related posters on the college notice boards after a morning meeting addressed by its leaders. Soon after, SFI activists, affiliated with the ruling CPI(M), held a protest march to the campus, raised slogans against the event and forcibly removed some posters. A scuffle ensued when ABVP members tried to stop them.
