London, June 2 -- About 50,000 migrants could arrive in the United Kingdom via the English Channel in 2025, The Times newspaper reports, citing its own analysis.
It is noted that after almost 1,200 migrants arrived in Britain by boat on Saturday, the total number of arrivals this year reached 14,811, a record for the first five months of the year and 42% more than at the same period in 2024.
The UK Border Force disagreed with the newspaper's calculations, telling the newspaper that the final figure for the year would be lower.
