Rajkot, Dec. 29 -- A fine bowling effort by Mukesh Kumar followed by a dominant batting display by Abishek Porel powered Bengal to a six-wicket victory over Chandigarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite on Monday.
Mukesh bagged 5 for 59 in 10 overs, claiming his maiden five-wicket haul in List A cricket while Abishek Porel's 84-ball 106 helped him score his second List A century.
Shahbaz Ahmed also impressed with superb all-round show. Put into bat, Chandigarh posted 319 in 48.2 overs, thanks to skipper Manan Vohra (122) and Sanyam Saini (67).
Besides Mukesh, Md Shami (3-69), Shahbaz (2-51) were the pick of the Bengal bowlers.
