Nagpur, Jan. 16 -- Falgun Binnendijk was only three days old when his mother left him at Matru Sewa Sangh on Ambazari Road in Maharashtra's Nagpur in February 1985. Shelter records noted that the woman was 21 years old, unmarried and without any support system.

Falgun spent about a month at the institution, where a nurse gave him his name, inspired by the month in which he was born.

Soon after, adoption procedures were completed. He was taken first to Mumbai and later flown to the Netherlands by a Dutch couple who adopted him.

Now, nearly four decades later, Falgun has returned to Nagpur once again, continuing his search for the woman who gave birth to him and then disappeared.

This marks his third visit to the city where his life began...
