Chennai, Sept. 4 -- Leading diagnostic provider Aarthi Scans and Labs today welcomed theproposed GST reforms that reduce the tax rate on diagnostic kits, reagents, glucometers andtest strips from 12% to 5% and termed it as a progressive step aimed at lowering patient costs.
Reacting to the rate cuts announced by union Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, AarthiScans and Labs Founder and Managing Director V. Govindarajan said diagnostics lies at theheart of both preventive and curative healthcare and any initiative that lowers patient costs,while enabling providers to uphold the highest standards of quality is a progressive step.
