New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today attacked the Centre, alleging a complete breakdown of law and order in the national capital.

Senior AAP leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar claimed that Delhi has become the "crime capital of India" under the watch of union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Citing the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 2023 report, Kumar stated that crime in Delhi increased by 1% last year, with 3.23 lakh cases registered.

He warned that if the current trend continues, 2025 is set to break all previous records. The AAP leader asserted that the Delhi Police has failed both in preventing crime and in filing chargesheets, making the city unsafe for women, children, and senior citizens.
