New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- Floods in the Yamuna have submerged crops in Delhi's low-lying areas, leaving hundreds of farmers facing a grave livelihood crisis, AAP leader and MLA from Burari assembly constituency, Sanjeev Jha has pointed out.
Sanjeev Jha has written to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, demanding an immediate survey of the damage and timely compensation for affected farmers, whose crops got damaged in Delhi's low-lying areas after Yamuna waters spread into floodplains.
Jha in his letter has urged CM to provide immediate assistance to the farmers of Burari assembly constituency whose crops were destroyed due to rising water level of Yamuna river.
