New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday nominated Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal and renominated sitting MPs ND Gupta and Sanjay Singh as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
Singh s currently in jail in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
The party's Political Affairs Committee, led by its national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during the day approved the decisions, an AAP statement said.
Sushil Kumar Gupta, whose tenure as RS member is ending this month, has expressed his desire to engage in electoral politics in Haryana actively and AAP respects his decision, a senior party leader said.
