Srinagar, Sept. 11 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh today alleged that he was prevented from leaving his Srinagar guest house to stage a protest against the detention of Doda MLA Mehraj Malik under the Public Safety Act (PSA), drawing a sharp reaction from former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who said such actions were "not right for democracy."Malik's detention under stringent PSA has triggered a major political row in Jammu and Kashmir. Except for the BJP, almost all the major political parties have condemned the move, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah warning that such actions erode people's faith in democratic institutions.
