New Delhi, April 24 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday launched a sharp counterattack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after seven of its Rajya Sabha MPs exited and announced their merger with the saffron party, terming the development part of a larger political conspiracy orchestrated by the BJP under "Operation Lotus" to destabilise its government in Punjab.
Addressing a press conference, AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged that central agencies are being misused to destabilise the party's government in Punjab led by Bhagwant Mann.
"BJP has been obstructing the good work being done by the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government in Punjab. Now, seven AAP Rajya Sabha MPs are joining the BJP. The people of Punjab should remember these seven names....
