New Delhi, March 23 -- : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday said that the Centre's decision to remove the cap on domestic airfares could make air travel less affordable for the middle class and lead to a rise in ticket prices.
The party's remarks came after the Ministry of Civil Aviation decided to lift fare restrictions, a move that will come into effect from March 23. The caps, which were introduced earlier to regulate ticket pricing, will no longer apply, allowing airlines greater flexibility in setting fares.
