New Delhi, Dec. 26 -- The AAP on Friday criticized the budget presented by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) Commissioner to the Standing Committee, labeling it a "paper exercise".
Leader of Opposition in the MCD, Ankush Narang, raised several concerns regarding the implementation of existing schemes and civic amenities.
Narang stated that despite budgetary provisions, the expenditure on student scholarships for the 2024-25 fiscal year remained zero. He also claimed that only 4.26 lakh out of 6.58 lakh municipal school students have received funds for uniforms and stationery, leaving many deprived.
