New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of systematically targeting its members in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging political persecution in response to growing dissent.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the administration in Jammu and Kashmir is using state agencies to suppress party leaders. He stated that Mehraj Malik, an AAP functionary, was jailed under the Public Safety Act (PSA) after leading demands for a hospital in his constituency.
Singh further alleged that he was prevented from holding a press conference in the region and was effectively placed under house arrest before being escorted back to Delhi.
