New Delhi, Dec. 22 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Gujarat government of misusing about Rs 50 crore from the Tribal Development Fund for a public event featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing media on Monday, AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj and Anurag Dhanda presented details obtained through an RTI application filed by a party MLA in Gujarat.

They alleged that funds intended for tribal welfare were diverted for expenses related to the Prime Minister's programme, including Rs 2.4 crore for mobile toilets, Rs 7 crore for a pandal, Rs 5 crore for a stage, Rs 7 crore for crowd transportation, and Rs 2 crore for refreshments like tea and samosas.
