New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the central government of causing Delhi's current pollution and traffic crisis through what it calls "reckless and mindless" redevelopment of central vista and neighbourhood projects.
In a statement, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that large-scale construction under the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) project has destroyed green cover and increased congestion. He alleged that the project, initiated in 2018, led to the cutting of approximately 16,500 trees in areas like Sarojini Nagar and Kidwai Nagar.
