New Delhi, Oct. 10 -- Launching a sharp attack against the BJP government following the suicide of Haryana's Dalit IPS officer Puran Kumar, the Aam Aadmi Party today claimed the cop was subjected to sustained caste-based harassment.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, citing a purported suicide note, said it revealed the officer's harassment began when he entered a temple. The harassment gradually increased and he was subjected to casteist abuses and a false FIR was slapped on him.
He alleged that when all limits of humiliation were crossed, Puran Kumar chose to end his life.
