New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding permissions for Chhath Puja celebrations on the banks of the Yamuna River.

During a press conference, AAP leaders asserted that the BJP is misrepresenting facts and taking credit for permissions that were previously restricted under its own administration.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP's Delhi State President, stated that the ban on Chhath celebrations along the Yamuna was originally imposed by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, which functioned under the Lieutenant Governor appointed by the BJP-led central government, and was upheld by the High Court.
