New Delhi, Jan. 1 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday performed a 'Yagna' on the banks of the Yamuna river. It claimed the ruling BJP was misleading the devotees of Yamuna, and the river was not clean.
AAP leaders, including MLA Sanjeev Jha and former legislators Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Vinay Mishra, conducted the ceremony at a Chhath ghat in Kalindi Kunj. They claimed the BJP-led Delhi administration had falsely assured the Purvanchali community that the Yamuna was clean enough for ritual practices like 'achaman' (ritual sipping of water) and offering 'arghya'.
