New Delhi, Oct. 17 -- The Aam Aadmi Party today accused Delhi's BJP government of hypocrisy regarding the use of a chemical to remove foam from the Yamuna river, claiming the same substance was previously labelled as "poison" by BJP leaders.

AAP Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj presented two videos during a press conference, comparing BJP MP Parvesh Verma's 2022 criticism of the de-foamer concentrate with its current use under his watch as Water Minister.

Bharadwaj alleged that Verma had "created a spectacle" in 2022 by calling the chemical poisonous and harassing Delhi Jal Board officials who were using it before Chhath Puja.
