New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticised the BJP-led Delhi government's proposed 'Delhi School Education Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees Bill 2025', calling it a move to legitimise profiteering by private schools rather than regulating fees.

AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, along with party chief whip Sanjeev Jha, alleged that the BJP deliberately delayed the bill from April to July, allowing private schools to hike fees unchecked. They claimed that the bill lacks provisions to audit school accounts, roll back unjustified hikes, or empower parents in decision-making.
