Agartala, May 27 -- A high-level team from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), led by Regional Executive Director for Northeast M Rajkishore, visited long-defunct Kailashahar Airport in Unakoti district on Monday, considering the proposal of the state government to make it functional under the regional connectivity plan.
The team, along with the district administration, reviewed the situation and took stock. AAI has undertaken an initiative to assess existing infrastructure in the airport and examine the feasibility of reviving operations at the dormant facility.
